Workers welcome ChatGPT, AI help in workplace decisions, study indicates

63% of U.S. workers welcome help from AI services (such as ChatGPT) in workplace decision-making, according to the automatica trend index 2023, which incorporates the results of a survey of 1,000 U.S. workers.

The survey of U.S. employees was conducted on behalf of Munich, Germany-based automatica, an international trade fair for smart automation and robotics akin to the annual U.S.-based Automate event.

The survey also showed that about 80% of American employees want these tools to be instantly recognizable as machines.

"Robotics and artificial intelligence software like ChatGPT rapidly shape the workplace of the future," Patrick Schwarzkopf, advisory board member of automatica, said in a press release. "If we get the use of these technologies right, we can vastly improve workplaces."
