Walmart to introduce EV charging stations

Walmart will introduce EV charging stations as part of its new and remodeled stores, John Furner, president and CEO, said in a recent company announcement.

The new stores will make EV ownership a more convenient and accessible choice for Walmart shoppers and associates.

In the next five years, the company will build or convert more than 150 stores, while remodeling existing stores. During the next 12 months, the company plans to remodel 650 stores across 47 states and Puerto Rico.

The first two new stores under this initiative, both Neighborhood Markets, are set to open later this Spring in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia.
