Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, Scout Motors to adopt Tesla EV charging connector

Volkswagen Group, which includes, Porsche, Audi and Scout Motors, will adopt Tesla's North American Charging Standard connector beginning in 2025, according to a press release.

The agreement comes several months after Ford announced plans to adopt NACS to gain access to Tesla's Supercharger network, followed by several other automotive manufacturers.

"This has the potential to expand customer charging access to more than 15,000 Superchargers in addition to the more than 3,800 DC fast charging outlets currently in operation by Electrify America and Electrify Canada," Rebecca Tinucci, senior director of charging at Tesla, said in the press release.
