Self-Service

Virginia library district intros book machines

November 8, 2023

Patrons of the Loudoun, Virginia, public library branches will be able to take out library materials by scanning their library cards at self-serve kiosks at four community centers, according to a report in theburn.com.

The library partnered with Loudun's parks and recreation department to install the machines at Lucketts Community Center, Bluemont Community Center, Douglass Community Center and Claude Moore Recreation and Community Center.

Patrons will be able to scan their library card and push a button to check out a book.
