Kyivstar, a Ukraine-based telecommunications provider and subsidiary of VEON, has launched a generative AI lab in partnership with Amazon Web Services, according to a press release.

The initiative aims to help Ukrainian businesses introduce AI technologies to enhance business processes while supporting the nation's long-term economic recovery.

Building on the Kyivstar-AWS cloud technology partnership from December 2023, the lab will provide AI services including AI chatbots, content generation and virtual assistants.

"Generative AI has the potential to be a transformative force for the efficiency and competitiveness of Ukraine's enterprises. It will also play a pivotal role in driving economic growth as part of Ukraine's long-term recovery," Oleksandr Komarov, CEO at Kyivstar, said in the release. "Our successful partnership with AWS has bolstered our expertise in data processing and analysis. The launch of this generative AI lab represents the next step in delivering innovative augmented intelligence and cloud services to our business customers."
