Siemens announces Sinamics S210 servo-drive system

Siemens has announced its Sinamics S210 servo-drive system for standalone and multi-axis machines, according to a press release.
Designed for a range of applications, including a focus on food-and-beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturing categories, the system can leverage the embedded web-server or Startdrive integrated with the Siemens TIA Portal.
The system is also designed to facilitate integration with simulations using digital twin planning and optimization functions. The system emphasized sybersecurity with integrated network connectivity security, and in-field monitoring and continuous data are possible vie cloud or edge computing systems.

- 1AC 230V, 50–750W and 3AC 200-480V, 0.4–7kW versions.
- Digitally native drive system from planning to operations.
- Security Chip Integration and UMAC program protection.
- PROFIsafe integrated SIL3 / PLe safety functionality.
- Combines with PLC via technology object for advanced motion control.
- 3C3 and ANSI/ISA G3 compliant coating for harsh environments.
