Shanghai robot baristas brew coffee at the touch of a button

Hi-Dolphin Robot Technology's Cofe+ kiosk has launched in Shanghai, offering a fully automated, self-sufficient solution for café owners, according to a Tech in Asia report.

Utilizing a sophisticated robotic arm, the Cofe+ booth can create a variety of coffee drinks, including Americanos and cappuccinos, in just 50 seconds. Equipped with grinders, ice makers and the capacity to produce up to 300 beverages per fill, the booth eliminates the need for human baristas.

Philip Han, the company's founder, believes automated baristas offer several advantages over their human counterparts. The Cofe+ system operates within a protective glass enclosure and employs patented anti-insect and antibacterial technology. Additionally, the system features self-cleaning capabilities and ensures precise milk temperature control for optimal freshness.

Hi-Dolphin's coffee solution has gained international traction, with nearly 1,000 Cofe+ booths already deployed across 30 countries. The company aims to expand its reach to 20 more markets by the end of the year.
