Self-service tipping requests continue to draw complaints

Tipping requests at self service machines continue to draw consumers' complaints, as one Tik Tok user complained on a video that went viral, according to a dailydot.com report.

Gabriella, a blogger, noted her surprise when prompted to tip on an iPad for buying a soda.

These objections have increased in response to the rise of retail and restaurant POS systems such as Square, Toast and Clover, the report noted.

A Shake Shack customer also recently went viral after commenting on a request to tip at a self-service kiosk, according to the report.
