SapientX, the San Francisco0-based provider of AI-powered talking characters and digital signage, has introduced its first digital character, using GPT-4 for use in resort hotel wayfinding, concierge services and food and drink ordering, according to a press release.

The company has introduced a life-sized character, "Wynnie," in partnership with Actineon, a provider of edge computers, kiosk computers and edge gateways, and with Imageholders, a kiosk manufacturer.

SapientX focuses on natural voice to voice conversation with emotion comprehension and response, context awareness, learning and a 3D avatar interface.

SapientX runs with or without an internet connection.
