Samsung has announced a raft of products and services, with a focus on ecosystem development, smart homes technology, and more during its annual developer's conference, according to a press release.
Samsung also announced strategy priorities include health and safety along with security and sustainability during the Samsung Developer Conference 2023 event at the Moscone Center in San Fransisco.
The company highlighted One UI 6, the latest installment of the Samsung user interface for user devices.
"Over 500 million Samsung products are sold every year, and the number of people using Samsung accounts exceeds 600 million," Jong-Hee (JH) Han, vice chairman, CEO and head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics, said in the release. "To us, this is both a huge achievement and a profound responsibility.
"Samsung's technologies connect countless people, products and services," Han added. "I believe that if you — our developers and partners — join this journey of innovation, we can create greater opportunities and a brighter future together."
Samsung is also leaning into the smart homes movement, with over 290 million users of Samsung SmartThings products, and the SmartThings Home API has been designed to help app developers create apps compatible with the Samsung ecosystem.
The Samsung SmartThings Context API has also been updated with features aimed at AI and sensing technology.
