Robotic coffee shop coming to NYC

A robot-manned coffee shop will soon open at 666 Manhattan Ave. between Norman and Bedford avenues, according to a sign at the location, according to an Eater New York report.

Sunny Lam, a manager at Botbar, confirms via email the shop will open within the next two weeks.

The coffee shop is a client of Richtech Robotics, a Las Vegas-based technology manufacturer which claims the robots can prepare up to 50 drinks an hour, including bubble tea and cocktails.

Guests will place orders and pay using a touchscreen.
