Robosen Robotics, a robotics and AI solutions firm, has launched its Bumblebee G1 Performance robot as part of its robotics entertainment line devoted to the Transformers franchise (with licensing from Hasbro), according to a press release.
The robot features enhanced gyroscopic stabilization, 17 servo motors, mobile app interactivity for Android and iOS smartphones, adapted gait walking algorithm, six axis IMU, and automatic self-pickup in case of falls.
Measuring nearly 14 inches tall, the robot weighs 2.6 pounds and features manual and block-based programming along with 20 pre-installed voice commands and LED eyes and foot-mounted headlights.
Voice talent for 69 voice commands was provided by voice actor Dan Gilvezan.
"We're thrilled to bring this highly anticipated robot to fans and debut our Performance Series line with Bumblebee G1 Performance," Sean Tang, director of Robosen USA, said in the release. "Our talented team is excited to bring Mini Theater to our customers, allowing them to unleash their creativity and produce some awe-inspiring interactions with Optimus Prime."
