OptConnect acquires M2M DataGlobal

OptConnect, a managed wireless services provider, has acquired Santiago, Chile-based M2M DataGlobal, an IoT provider, for an undisclosed sum, according to a press release. The combined businesses will provide a managed wireless connectivity platform capable of supporting customers across a broad spectrum of industries and solution needs throughout North and South America.

Collectively, OptConnect and M2M serve more than 10,000 unique customers.

M2M will continue to operate under the M2M DataGlobal name and utilize its office in Santiago, Chile. Elionae Silva will continue to serve as general manager of the M2M business unit while Felix Lluberes and Rob Adams will continue to serve as advisors to the company.

M2M offers hardware products and connectivity solutions across the Americas, including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico.
