North Carolina town adds EV charging stations

Kannapolis, North Carolina has installed EV charging stations in the Kannapolis Train Station parking lot, according to a press release.

Located at 201 S. Main Street, the charging stations are within walking distance of Atrium Health Ballpark and downtown restaurants and shops.

Users can download the free ChargeUP app. A nominal fee can be assessed based on the amount of time a vehicle needs to be charged. Users will receive a message from the ChargeUP app when their vehicle is finished charging.

There are also EV stations at Kannapolis City Hall.
