New York Metro launches OMNY card machines at select locations

New York City commuters are now able to buy or reload their OMNY cards at OMNY vending machines at select subway stations, according to a press release.

Users can buy a new reloadable card for a limited time for $1, the same price as a new MetroCard. They can also buy a Single-Ride OMNY ticket for $3.25. The tap-and-go OMNY cards also offer a seven-day fare cap.

OMNY vending machines will eventually be available in all 472 subway stations as the MetroCard is phased out.

OMNY cards are also available at retail locations.

Locations with machines include: 86 Street at the downtown and Brooklyn entrance; Atlantic Av-Barclays Center (several locations); Bowling Green; Fordham Road (two locations) and Junction Boulevard.
