Wayne County in Michigan will install 100 vending machines offering free kits of Narcan, according to a CBS News report. Narcan is a brand name for Naloxone, which reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.
The machines will be installed through a partnership with Wayne State University's Center for Behavioral Health and Justice, according to Warren Evans, Wayne County executive.
Thousands of kits have already been distributed through machines in the state to combat opioid overdose.
