Mastercard teams with Last Mile Solutions on EV charging payment integrations

Mastercard has teamed with Last Mile Solutions, a provider of a hardware agnostic management platform for charge point operators with locations throughout Europe, to establish payment standards for the electric vehicle charging industry that will enhance the user payment experience, according to a press release.

The solution will enable charge point operators to integrate their existing charging stations with a variety of payment terminal brands without the need for integration efforts, according to a press release.

The solution will be rolled out across Europe starting in early 2024 to enable charge point operators to comply with the EU AFIR regulation that will come into force in April 2024.
