Las Vegas hospital debuts bilingual book vending machine

Sunrise Children's Hospital in Las Vegas has introduced a book vending machine offering books in both English and Spanish, courtesy of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, according to a press release.

To check out a book, library cardholders follow the instructions, available in English and Spanish. There is a 21-day check-out period, and books can be returned to the vending machine or to any library branch.

The machine, operated by the library district, houses 235 books and is located just inside the hospital's newly renovated entrance on Maryland Parkway.
