Korean fuel station operation intros unattended store

HD Hyundai Oilbank, a South Korea-based oil refinery and fuel station operator, has opened an unmanned convenience store at one of its service stations in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, the first such station in the country, according to a Korea Times report. The station is 23 square meters large and offers about 200 items.

The Muin Kiosk Shop developed by Urban Sharing Co. is part of HD Hyundai Oilbank's effort to diversify its business.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups partnered with the Ministry of Science and and other government organizations to support unmanned convenience stores for small businesses.

HD Hyundai Oilbank operates 2,500 stations nationwide.
