Jabil teams with Revolut on payment reader

Jabil Inc., a manufacturer of retail and warehouse automation solutions, has teamed with Revolut, a provider of mobile payments for retailers, to launch the Revolut Reader, a hardware platform that enables merchants to accept in-store or on-the-go payments, according to a press release.

The pocket-sized reader offers transactions for debit and credit cards, including chip, contactless and mobile payments.

Processing modes encompass near field communication and QR codes, along with BLE connectivity.

The solution supports EMV, PCI and local security certifications for payments in more than 150 currencies.

The pre-certified hardware platform can be integrated with existing POS systems using Jabil-provided application programming interfaces and a software development kit.
