India ATM offers gold, silver coins

Visitors at the Meerpet Metro Station in Hyderabad, India, can purchase gold and silver coins at an ATM machine using credit cards, debit cards and the Unified Payments Interface, an India payment system, according to an International Business Times report.
The machine was installed by Goldsikka Ltd., a Hyderabad financial institution. Guests can buy gold coins from 0.5 to 20 grams and silver coins from 10 to 100 grams.
The machine regularly updates prices to give users access to the latest rates.
Goldsikka plans to expand the machines to more airports, starting with Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad and Mangalore Airports.
The company has received about 3,000 orders for the machines, including from the U.S. and Russia.
