Incredivend gains exclusive Mars operating rights for Skittles Remix machine

Mars Wrigley Confectionery recently granted Incredivend, provider of The Skittles Remix digital kiosk, the exclusive rights to buy, sell, own, operate and manage a newly developed version of the interactive machine, according to a press release.

The new Skittles "Remix the Rainbow, Taste the Rainbow" automated candy merchandiser engages consumers through a 32-inch touchscreen and allows them to mix and match their favorite flavors. The machines are placed in locations such as family entertainment centers, airports, casinos, cinemas and amusement parks. Besides mixing and matching their own selection, the machines drop and roll the candy into the consumer's cup right in front of their eyes.

Each machine offers two different size selections, 5 ounces and 8.5 ounces, with retail prices ranging from $5 to $10.

Since the introduction of the first generation of the machines in 2018, more than 1 million people have used the machines to purchase over 500,000 pounds of Skittles.

The machine has been displayed on the Incredivend showcase on Vending Times.
