IFR sees 12% robot sales rise in North America manufacturing

The International Federation of Robotics has reported that North American manufacturing saw a 12% rise in robotics installations, with strong demand from car makers, according to a press release.

Preliminary 2022 numbers show total manufacturing installations at 41,624 units in North America.

Demand from car makers and components makers rose by 48% in 2022, according to the IFR, and other industry leaders in installations include electrical/electronics, followed by the metal and machinery category and the plastic and chemicals group.
