HomeBase USA has deployed Simbe's shelf-scanning robot in pilot programs at two locations.

The robot, called Tally, runs on Simbe's Store Intelligence platform and is at work at the brand's Copperas Cove, Texas store and at a Laramie, Wyoming location.

Tally supports team efficiency, operational accuracy and a better shopping experience, according to a press release.

Simbe's robot captures real-time, shelf-level data on product availability, pricing and placement. The result: fewer out-of-stocks, more efficient labor and a more satisfying experience for customers.

"Getting inventory right is fundamental to our business, and with Tally, we're equipping our teams with the insights they need to succeed," Mark Dremel, district manager at HomeBase, said in the release. "This pilot is an exciting step toward improving both operational performance and the in-store experience, and we're eager to see Tally's impact as we look to scale."

HomeBase operates nine stores across five states.
