Google has launched its Willow chip, which features quantum computing technology, according to The Verge.

The company announced on Monday that the chip was powerful enough to do in five minutes of computation what it would take a non-quantum supercomputer 10 septillion years to accomplish, showcasing the value of quantum processing, according to the report, which explains that the potential power of quantum computing (thanks to using qubits, which can exist in many states beyond simply 1 or 0) also comes with a risk of error generation.

Google proposed in Nature a method of error correction by adding more qubits.
