Google has announced its efforts to create safeguards and standards for the age of AI-generated content, including its collaboration with fellow businesses and media organizations, according to a report in the New York Times.

The efforts include the development of standards for noting the degree and kind of AI-generation used in a piece of media, including the development of notation or tags in metadata, according to the report.

Collaborators are to include Adobe, the BBC, Microsoft and Sony, among others.
