France buys Nokia's submarine network's business

The government of France has purchased Nokia's submarine networks business, Alcatel Submarine Networks, also known as ASN.

The government of France has purchased Nokia's submarine networks business, Alcatel Submarine Networks, also known as ASN.

The sale was announced in June and completed Dec. 31 in collaboration with France's Agence des participations de l'Etat, according to a press release.

Nokia retains 20% interest and board representation pending a targeted exit.
