Flexiv Robotics, a general-purpose robotics solutions firm, has launched an automated Cleaning Station for its gecko-inspired Grav Enhanced gripper, which is designed primarily for mixed SKU pallet loading and industrial environments, according to a press release.

The update enables the system to handle objects weighing up to 5kg including those with surface contamination like dust, with cleaning cycles timed at less than five seconds using adhesive tape and a silicone roller.

"By packaging the Grav Enhanced Gripper with the Automated Cleaning Station, we've increased the efficiency of our gripper and massively expanded its utility," Hao Jiang, director of product development at Flexiv, said in the release. "This is a game-changer for businesses looking to manipulate a diverse array of objects."
