Flexiv, a general purpose robotics solutions provider, has launched Elements Series 3, an updated adaptive robot control system aiming to make programming easier for users of all experience levels with human-centered design and semi-automated features, according to a press release.

The system combines IP65 hardware with software to allow users to create programs from scratch, with features including 7-plus degrees of freedom (7+N DOF) motion control, along with 3D simulation capacity to allow users to test programs before deployment to real-world production environments, with compatibility aimed at PCs, the Teach Pendant, and all Flexiv robots.

Another update is a Motion Bar redesign based on user feedback, including a status indicator light and dedicated mode-switching buttons, Freedrive and Jogging; the Motion Bar can be used independently or while docked to the Teach Pendant.

Elements 3 has expanded the drag-and-drop function blocks known as "primitives."
