Electromate offers Universal Robots’ collaborative robot

Electromate Inc., a distributor of robotic and mechatronic solutions, has announced pre-order availability of Universal Robots' latest innovation, the UR30 collaborative robot, also known as a cobot. The UR30 weighs 63.5 kilograms and offers a 30-kilogram payload capacity, according to a press release.

Its motion control ensures the precise placement of payloads, operating at higher speeds and handling heavier loads than previous models. Applications include machine tending, material handling and high-torque screw driving.

For machine tending, the UR30's high payload introduces capabilities like using multiple grippers simultaneously and shortening changeover times. In high torque screw driving applications, the mode feature delivers straight performance.
