MGM Resorts, which operates numerous casinos, hotels, convention spaces and entertainment facilities, continues to suffer from a cybersecurity attack that forces slot machine winnings to be paid by hand, disrupts parking machines and requires guests to use key cards to access their rooms, according to a report in the Las Vegas Review Journal.
As of Tuesday, the company gave no word on whether it is negotiating with the extortionists.
The company did not respond when a Las Vegas Review Journal reporter asked if it has cybersecurity insurance.
An industry observer said the company is likely losing between $4.2 million and $8.4 million per day.
MGM Resorts also did not indicate if it would pay a ransomware demand.
