Temple Israel, a synagogue located in Westport, Connecticut, has launched a vending machine whose offerings include traditional and ritual Jewish items according to a report from jpost.com.

Offerings include yarmulkes, mezuzot, mezuzah parchment, "mazel tov" cards and yahrzeit candles, according to the report, with plans for rotating seasonal offerings such as holiday and kosher food items.

"Our Jewish Vending Machine marries the efficiency of modern technology with the depth of Jewish culture," John Kaufman, president of the board of trustees of Temple Israel, said in the report. "It's designed to resonate with our tech-savvy younger members while providing a service that congregants of all ages will find invaluable."
