Beer vending machines called EBars have been deployed at sporting and cultural events in the U.K., according to a report in The Guardian.

A photo showed three wall-mounted EBars each featuring a different beer brand at Aviva Studios arts center in Manchester.

Each EBar kiosk can pour 120 to 150 pints per hour using a patented method to fill a cup under pressure, avoiding an overly foamy head.

The machine requires staffing, mostly to check IDs, although one person can oversee multiple kiosks.

The next iteration of EBar will be able to serve 180 to 200 pints an hour, and double that within a few years, according to Nick Beeson, a former oil industry executive who co-founded EBar with Sam Pettipher.

There are currently 40 EBars.
