Assa Abloy acquires security equipment maker Amecor

Assa Abloy Group, a Stockholm-based provider of access solutions, has agreed to acquire Amecor Ltd., a Johannesburg, South Africa-based manufacturer of security communication equipment in the South African security market, according to a press release. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Amecor was established in 1994 and has about 120 employees.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions and is expected to close during the second quarter of 2024.
