Marvel Comics' "Guardians of the Galaxy," a new title from amusement machine manufacturer Andamiro, will begin shipping in December, according to a press release.
Players begin their intergalactic journey by pressing a button to deploy the "power stone," a ball that descends on a course to win tickets. After "serpentining" through the spiraling track, the stone continues its descent along the lower straight track to complete the ride. Tickets are won when a stone lands in one of the open cars of the moving train circling the playfield.
The object of the game is to accurately land a stone into one of the train's character cars. There are nine cars with nine corresponding ticket values. When a player lights up all nine ticket values, they win the super bonus.
Andamiro's featured characters include Star-Lord, Yondu, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Groot, along with Drax, Cosmo, Mantis and The Collector.
Guardians of the Galaxy is Andamiro's fourth Marvel-branded attraction and second Ticket Coaster adaptation following SpongeBob Ticket Coaster.
Ticket Coaster's base design comprises a two-player-station cabinet with two trains that loop around the playfield and two corkscrew ball launchers. The player stations are positioned on opposite sides of the cabinet.
