Alabama town gets library kiosk

Residents of Northport, Alabama will be able to check out library books at a vending machine at city hall, courtesy of the Tuscaloosa Public Library, according to a Tuscaloosa Patch report.

Users will be able to check out materials online and pick them up at the kiosk using their library card. They will also be able to return items to the kiosk.

The library has not been able to reopen a branch in Northport due to limited budgets, pandemic changes and previously low participation.
